It has been a long time since I have posted to my blog. I have several items that I am going to post. :-)

Last week was Teacher Appreciation. Justin and I a few things for his teacher. Monday he brought her a card but I forgot to take a picture of it. On Tuesday he brought her favorite snack. We made this purse out of her favorite colors and filled it with her favorite snack which is chocolate chip cookies.

Friday he was to bring his teacher her favorite flowers and she likes fake flowers. These are the flowers that we made for her. Enjoy!

Inking It Up Design Team - Birthday Card

I hope everyone is enjoying thier summer. It is too HOT here in Texas. I am ready for some cooler weather. :-). I have been so busy with my family this summer that I feel like it has just past by so quickly!!
This is our last design team project over at http://inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com/. I am blessed to have met such incredible ladies. I want to give special thanks to "Kassidy" for all her hard work organizing the team and the projects. This was my first design team and I have enjoyed being on this team. The last few months I have not gotten to participate too much but I highly suggest trying out for a Design Team. It is a perfect way to meet other crafters and learn lots of new ideas and techniques. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I hope you all have enjoyed all of our projects.

Good Luck Card

I wanted to write a note here to explain where I have been and why I have not participated in the crafting world for awhile. I have not made anything in a while. My craft room has been packed and my machines have been put up due to some really bad storms we had here in the spring. We had hail so bad that it broke a lot of windows out of houses in the neighborhood and also damaged a lot of houses. I think just about everyone has had to replace their roofs, some windows and fences. I have not participated with my design team. That makes me sad but we all do get busy and don't realize how much time has passed. I have been so busy with my home, family and my job. I am hoping that I can get back in the groove and start making things. The holidays are creeping up on us and I really hope to get some cards and other things made.

Things have changed for me at work. I had worked in the bankruptcy dept for 5+ yrs. I have actually been in the bankruptcy field for 15 yrs. I was getting very bored with my job or just plum burned out. I had decided to start looking for something new. A lady at work retired after being with the company 25 years. She worked in our commercial accounting department. They posted her position for internal employees to apply. We only have 10 days and of course I waited until the 10th day and the post was gone. I had to wait and apply with our HR dept. Then I got very lucky. They had re posted the position for another 10 days. I thought about it and thought about and finally just said the heck with it the worst they can say is no. If I don't get it then it was not meant to be. It was hard to tell if the interviews went well or not. Then I was offered the position so I I accepted it. (I was so excited)!! Then I started on June 30th. When I first started this new role I realized how much I did not have to think about my previous job. (LOL) I wanted to start something new and this has been very interesting. I am learning new stuff everyday and I have learned new things about the company. I am enjoying my new position but I miss my friends that I use to work with. I still get to see everyone but I don't have much time to talk. After being in the position for about a week or so the lady that was training me told me that she was going to be leaving the company. She had accepted a new position at another company. Of course my first reaction was "PANIC". She was so helpful and knew her job well so that really helped as she trained me. She trained me up until the day she left. She has been missed. She had been with the company for 5+ yrs.

We gave her a good-bye (GOOD-LUCK) party. I was asked to make a card and of course I did not hesitate. The card below is the one that I had made for her. Her and I both love the color pink. This card was easy to make only because I love the colors and I knew she would love it. This was the first card I had made since March. I hope you all enjoy this card.

To continue my story.. Then in July we went down to Corpus Christie for my husbands "40th". We had a great time. We were both so tired and ready for a vacation. Inking It Up Crazy Design Team Day - Favorite Cartridge Project

This week over at Inking it up Crazy with Kassidy we were to make a project using our favorite cartridges. I am sure everyone has a few favorites. I know I do! I chose to use "Life is a Beach". I chose to use this cartridge so that I could work on a scrapbook page of our family vacation last year. I just love these pictures my boys were having so much fun together at the beach. Baby Shower card

This is a card that I made for a Baby Shower. The soon to be mom and dad are decorating the baby room with a Safari theme. I think this card came out ok but I know I could have done a better job. :-)

For this card I used: Create a Critter cartridge, Stamp in up Kraft Paper, Recollections paper, Martha Stewart brown pen, brown and black rhinestones and brown satin ribbon.

Inking It Up Crazy - Design Team First Project!!

Good Morning Everyone!! I hope everyone is staying safe and warm. The winter weather has kept me indoors and I have been able to do some crafting!!

I want to give thanks to Kassidy over at inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com for choosing me to be a part of this awesome design team! I am very excited to be a part of this team. Thanks Kassidy!!

For our first project we were asked to make something that has to do with "LOVE".
Here is my first project!!

I used a wickless candle from Walmart. For the image I used Red Cricut Vinyl and some heart Rhinestones from Michaels. I cut the image using the software Make the Cut. The file I used was from http://scale-files.blogspot.com/. The word "Love" is a font called Elephants in Cherry Trees.

Valentine Tux Card

Fantabulous Cricut - Challenge #45 Support the Cause

I made this card for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #45 Support the Cause. The challenge is to make a project in honor of a cause that is near and dear to you. I used the Pink Journey cartridge for the card shape and the ribbon. I used Storybook for the word "HOPE". I made the heart with the lattice and rhinestone features in MTC. I drew the lines around the card and the dots on the word hope with a white gel pen. In each corner I put a pink heart rhinestones. Enjoy!

Martini - Birthday Card

I apologize for the poor quality of the picture. My camera is not working so well. The middle of the card is a Lilac purple. This is an other birthday card for a lady that loves "Martini's". I pulled this image and cut it with MTC. I used dome 3D Crystal Laquer and glitter to the glass to give it the look like a drink... I am very happy with the way the card came out. Enjoy!

Minnie Mouse - Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card that I made for a Baby's "1st" birthday. Her theme is Minnie Mouse so I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge. Then for the 1st and Birthday I used a font called "Elephants in Cherry Tree". I cut the font using MTC. I used Stickles to glitter her shoes, gloves, 1st and Birthday. I used clear rhinestones and I chose to use different sizes to embelish the background. I also used my white pen to draw a stitch line around the pink part of the card. Then I used a pink marker to draw polka dots around the white part of the card. The paper I used is from Michaels some of it was the K&C company Valentine paper and the other is the Recollection Butterfly Wings. I hope you enjoy the card.. Minnie is just so cute!!

Here is a card that I made today for a FB Challenge with Inking it Up Crazy. The challenge was to make something using new stuff. I used my Peachy Keen Princess Face Stamps that I received in the mail today. I also used my new Martha Stewart border punch. The paper is new it is K&C Company valentine paper that I bought at Michaels. The heart image is a cut file that I cut using MTC.. Enjoy!!

Dallas Cowboy Birthday Card

I made this card today using my new Gazelle and Make the Cut software. I am very pleased with the outcome. This is a birthday for a Dallas Cowboy fan. The star paper I designed myself using make the cut. The helmet was pulled from Google and I also cut it using MTC software. The font I used for the Dallas Cowboy is called Cowboy. Enjoy!! Sweet 16 - Birthday Card

Here is the only card I was able to make this weekend. I got really busy and just did not have time for my craft room like I had planned. I cut the cupcake using the new Print and Cut using make the cut. The first time I tried it and it worked.. YAY!! Then I decided the cupcake needed some bling. I added stickles to the cupcake wrapper. I used my I-rock to add the rhinestones on the cupcake frosting and the bottom of the card. I used gold rhinestones to embellish the background of the card. The card is embossed with Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used my gold pen and drew the stitch marks around the cupcake. The yellow paper behind the cupcake was embossed with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder. The "16" I used a black glitter pen to draw polka-dots on it. I am happy the way it turned out considering I threw it together in a hour right before the party.
